REDD---- The artist... The vocalist... The songwriter... Redd comes to us from the Los Angeles area, where he grew up the youngest of twelve children. With his mother an opera singer and his father and siblings all singing and playing instruments, Redd was saturated with music from a very early age. Early influences included all genre's of music ranging from r&b, rap and reggae to classical, big band, rock and alternative... While growing older, Redd experienced a unique connection to classic r&b and old school soul music. His later influences stemmed from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Prince, The Gap Band, Ohio Players, D'Angelo, and many more... Redd has been filling his time recently doing session vocals for numerous artists and producers including The Underdogs (responsible for hits for artists such as Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Rubin Studdard, and many more!). Also, Redd does commercial and radio jingles for radio stations around the globe including Hot 92 Jams in Los Angeles, Radio One and Capital FM in England, NJOY radio in Germany, Hot 92 in New York, and many others! Redd was formerly with the r&b-funk group Higher Ground, but now has embarked on a journey to create his own unique solo project. THE ALBUM - NATURAL PROGRESSION Redd's life experience has, like all, dealt him many different hands... Redd reflects on life, love and relationships in a way only he can... With a blend of classic r&b and neo-soul, Redd shares his experiences in a language that anyone can relate to ...
